A Light So Heavy

Once again it has been some while since I have written a lengthy post here so without further finger tapping I shall update you all as to what I have been up to over the past months and what I have prepared musically for this year so far.

I shall start with updates concerning my musical work. My current priority is the release of Borealis — Voidness which is nearing very quickly. For more frequent updates regarding that and other related releases, see the site I have put together which focuses on Borealis exclusively.

There are two remix 12«s, one entitled Lovewarm and one entitled Seraphim (these were the working titles of the Borealis demos) which precede the album itself. We are currently in the state of physical production of the vinyl. I completed the designs for both 12«s a while ago so I am excited to see how they turn out! The 12«s themselves will be transparent with black splatter and they will have standard black inner sleeves without centre holes. The 12″ jackets will be all black with metallic silver artwork and text, Pantone 877 C to be specific for any fellow designers out there. The labels on the 12«s will also be black and metallic silver.

The design I have prepared for the album is also complete and I am now awaiting templates to stick it into for the CD version. There should be a 2LP version at a later date. Follow Origami Sound for official release news. What I have planned for the CD and eventual 2LP design is a pure white background, unprinted, with purple foil stamping for the artwork and text. There shall also be a 12 page booklet featuring some of my artwork from the past few years which seemed to fit the purpose of Borealis.

Following the release of Voidness there will be a series of digital remix EPs released featuring some truly excellent talent. It has been an honour to hear Borealis through their lenses.

The Borealis project has been a very meaningful and necessary one not only for me but, so I have come to find out over the last few months, for others as well. The project arose during a very stressful and vulnerable part of this life of mine, through early to mid 2010, and came about as a necessity to heal myself from all that I had been through. At the time I had no idea how much it would effect those who later heard it. I completed it in two batches. First, a smaller batch in February/March of 2010 and then a much larger batch of pieces in May of 2010. One additional piece, the album closer, was completed in March of 2011.

I had shopped the album around throughout its development but as the local universe would have it, I ended up nearly deciding to release it on my own through Bandcamp. Right around that time, the owner of the Origami Sound blog, Stefan aka Herne, and I discussed about releasing it via Origami Sound. Stefan and I had become very good friends prior to then and he expressed his desire to turn Origami Sound into a label and after some inspired discussion I agreed to release the album with him. He had told me of how some of his friends had heard the album and that it had in some way affected them positively.

This was very welcome news to me in that I knew that even though it was not yet released that the album was already doing its job which at that point I still did not fully understand what it was for. I began to form friendships with a couple of Stefan’s friends who were also doing music for Origami Sound and they told me how it had affected them. One in particular who will know who he is (*wink*) told me it had caused somewhat of a life altering moment, the piece Nightfall in particular. I was beyond touched and excited by this and began to see a pattern forming which was indicative of Voidness› potential in sonic healing.

As most of you have probably read prior here, you will know that I very much subscribe to the idea that music is a powerful healing ally, and in my experience it has done just that for myself through listening, experiencing and creating music. The reason I became excited over hearing others› experiences with Voidness was that it confirmed for me that what I knew to be true for myself was also affecting others and literally helping them to heal themselves or at the very least start them on a path for their own self healing.

We all have or have gone through our own anxieties and painful experiences in human life and I know there are so many around the globe who wish to free themselves of such pain, anxiety and stress. For the most part all of these pains are self-created. This is not a negative thing and in no way should belittle anyone. The path to self healing begins first with realizing the pains you have been going through and discovering what has caused them and how they have managed to snowball until they short circuit and cause a breakdown. The idiom ‹breakdowns lead to breakthroughs› is very much true.

This is what the purpose of the album is. Its purpose is to aid in healing others› and to help them feel things inside of them which need to be brought to the surface. These things may already be at the surface but may be very confusing and hard to identify at first. Something about the music Voidness is composed of seems to help distill these feelings and separate wheat from chaff so to speak. Something about it is unspoken but can be identified with, resonated with, on expanded levels of awareness. Once these things which are brought to the surface can be identified and worked through then healing becomes much more smooth although there are always bumps along the road.

On the more far out tip, which is more in the realm of hypothesis, but in personal experience is true, is that the body of work that is Voidness, was a series of pre-echoes from those in linear-time future who needed to hear and experience it and that the versions of their selves already listening to the released album in the future had given me the will and strength to birth and catalyze it in the way that I did. When you expand upon the third dimensions and enter into the infinity of further expanded and less dense dimensions, linear time becomes less and less relevant and things become more cyclical until they reach the zero point where all events in the Infinite are occurring all at once. This means that all versions of one’s future self and parallel future selves from lives long past and lives yet to come are all occurring at once. It also means that every infinitesimal event in one’s life, every possible choice, every possible cause and effect, already exists and it is a matter of the nexus version of yourself piloting and navigating through all of those possibilities and potentials.

In Remote Viewing and Remote Influencing (Receptive Psi and Projective Psi) this has repeatedly been proven in my own experiences. The thing is, one must be open to it to be able to perceive it. The very belief and knowledge that such things are possible allows for those things to become possible once you act on them. I have repeatedly experienced Effect preceding Cause and I feel strongly that Voidness was such an Effect and also a Cause at the same time. I know this is likely to be too far fetched for some and probably not the easiest set of ideas to wrap your mind around but I feel it is important that I be honest and write about my experience of how this all came about for me. I’m not at all asking you to take my word for anything I say. I am merely providing my story. Although it is very coarse grained in nature, as these topics are difficult to describe with written/spoken word, I hope that it may be of help to some, if not just an interesting idea to contemplate.

That is the nutshell version of the story behind Voidness and I have purposefully kept details of my friends and allies private because it is not necessary to describe them in the open and provoke unwelcome attention at this point. They will know who they are if they happen to read this. Before moving on from here I would like to take a moment to thank all of those friends for the roll they hold in my life, one in particular who I’ll refer to as Airborne (he shall definitely know who he is and he will likely smile and have a good chuckle when he sees this!) Airborne aided me quite a lot in 2011 onwards and our friendship is deep and the bond unbreakable. The world truly is in great hands with people like him in existence and so I am very much grateful to him in particular. Just know, all of my friends, and family if they read this, that I am very much in gratitude to you all, and to all of you who are reading this and who have followed what I have been doing all these years and supported me through it all… and to all of those who I may never meet in person who shall be affected by Voidness. An energetic level thanks to all of the creators who have inspired me along the way who may never know how much they have affected and helped me… and to all those brave individuals in this world dedicating, and often times risking, their lives to bring truth and freedom to all.

Third and fourth; these two are dreams I had in 2011 and wrote down as I recalled them. The layers in these dreams go much deeper than I have recounted them in text, and Airborne knows what those other layers are as I have shared these dreams with him, but for simplicity, the first one is a pre-echo of a movement which emerged via Twitter, related to Anonymous and Occupy movements, called #EtherSec / #OpEPOCH. The second dream is a pre-echo of the Occupy movement itself. At the time of having these dreams I could not at all tell that these things were on the horizon although some part of me felt something was coming although it was so very subtle at the time. It is only in hindsight that I now can fully look back on these dreams and know what they were in part referring to.

I do not wish to dwell too much on the subject of current global changes because I am sure you are all very much aware of what is going on at the surface level and perhaps even deeper. I know that it all ends well though and that the momentum behind this growing, emergent, movement which popped to the surface in Tahrir Square, is now unstoppable and will not slow down until true sustainable change has been implemented the world over. We are headed, assuredly, to a world of great abundance, freedom and self-responsibility. Yes there are many bumps along the way, however they shall all be ironed out the larger and more coherent this movement grows. This is not just a movement you see, it is a transition in the way people perceive each other, interact with each other and live their lives. This is how the shift that the Maya, Inca, Aztec, Hopi et al foresaw, comes about. The world ‹as we knew it› is coming to an end and the world as we shall create it to be is beginning. There is absolutely nothing to fear at all. The most important thing right now is to spend time with your friends, family, allies, et al and live life as you wish to see yourselves living in the future. The shift of the ages every 26,000~ years is something incredibly precious and an honour to experience in this life. Be compassionate, loving and work in *harmony* with the universe, in harmony with nature, rather than resist it, and you will see yourself free.

To close off, heading briefly back into the realm of my musical work, there are quite a few remixes I have done which have yet to be released, some recent Borealis remixes and originals which I put out for free (head over to the Borealis site to grab those if you are interested and have not already). I will also be doing some design/art work for a dear friend shortly for his band’s forthcoming album but I cannot say much about it at this moment but you can be sure I will write about it when I am permitted! You may already have an idea of who I am referring to. We’re also planning on doing a couple more collaborations *wink*. Endgame

The biggest story in history is beginning to breach the surface now. I have been following this for some time now. I would not post this if I knew it wasn’t real, however, it is. Whether you choose to read this or not, that is your sovereign choice. However, this will make things very clear where the reasons behind why things are they way they are in the world at the moment.

The mainstream media is not likely to follow this at all as it is very much against their interests. Please take this information in with discernment and discretion and use your intuition. You can all likely see now that established systems are not behaving in a manner which is beneficial to the average person. You also can likely see just how frantic they are as of late, grasping at straws and implementing all sorts of draconian legislation. This is why and it has been hidden from the public for a very long time. Stay well and be strong and without fear.

Shadow Grace

This is a particularly special mix to me (as well as Analgesia which I prepared as an episode of EEM) as trance is the very genre of music which inspired me to experiment with music production in the mid-late 90s when I was very young. I’d first heard it via late night radio broadcasts and via early online radio broadcast sites soon after. This music caused me to feel things I’d never quite felt or experienced before in this body. Those moments are the kind which only happen once in a lifetime where you first cross paths with something that is completely novel to you and generates such vast arrays of feelings within. You only hear something for the first time once! To hear this music without knowing who had created it or how it was generated was an experience I’ll always cherish as those key moments initiated the path I travel now. I’ll never have those exact same experiences every again, and all I am left with is the afterglow of memory, however, that is what makes it completely magical to me and very inspiring.

Decrystallize//Recrystallize

Some of you may already have read these, but if you have not, I highly recommend that you do, whether you are a creator of music, of any art, or one who enjoys these creations. The ideas Stefan discusses in his articles are not only relevant to the arts. I strongly feel that there are analogs of the psychology he discusses in absolutely everything. The key idea he discusses in Part 2 of «Quality Is Overrated» is that of crystallization. This can be applied to anything that becomes favorable/popular whether it is the favoring of established political, legal, industrial, etc institutions. Many of these institutions are of no benefit to humanity whatsoever and rather make its condition much worse. The key to crystallization is that it is 100% dependent on people supporting its structural integrity, consciously or unconsciously, and such crystals can only exist if they receive support, whether it be music, visual art, writing, dance, an endless variety of institutions, you name it. Many such popular ‹crystals› are not even beneficial, or benevolent, and do not even deserve to be supported because they bring mostly detriment to the world, and yet they continue to receive support because people have trouble being self-responsible and self-thinking. It’s time to decrystallize the detrimental crystals, and re-rout that life-support energy to much more benevolent and beneficial crystals. The same goes for music and the arts. It is important now more than ever that music and art with meaningful intent be given the support it needs to spread the message and the healing it is the vehicle for. I feel that the ‹crystals› of yore have had their day, their chance, and it is high time to unplug them permanently. That which is The Establishment in any sector, in any spectrum, may only exist if you permit it to.

As creators of aural, visual or written healing, the world is essentially our oyster at the moment. Signal:Noise ratio right now is, for the most part, a complete din of noise because the field is so very saturated with mediocrity and a perception that mediocrity is acceptable. We now have a very good opportunity to set excellent examples for others by being at our absolute best and following our own hand crafted rules of operation rather than ‹industry› status quo. Lets turn this back into something genuine and remove ‹industry› and ‹market› from what we do. We are not here to take, we are here to share.

Our works are nothing less than individual births and are best treated by us as such. To me it seems shameful and absurd to treat one’s catalyzed/synthesized creations as anything less than a meaningful birth to share with the world at large. Something so powerful as aural, visual or written creation needs to be shown and treated with such respect by its creator. To ‹market› these as if they are some kind of vitamin to be taken one day and forgotten the next is unthinkable to me. We do not create products. We create vessels through which meaning pours and shakes in harmony with the curves of another being’s quantum lattice.

Heal

Music is by far one of the most effective healing and uniting tools utilized in this world. When the intent of the creator/catalyst is for healing, no matter what aesthetic form the work takes on, that is what the work will do. Intent impregnates the work and the work is the vehicle for that medicinal meaning, the syringe for the meaning. As catalysts of this, we have responsibilities to consider as healers and must consider what we really wish to give to people through our work. The power of the musical framework/vehicle is infinite and to be used with patience, empathy and wisdom. I have seen many aided by music and know personally how important it is to those it has helped. It is not possible for me to catalyze anything arbitrarily any more, and that is as it should be. The intent is always to aid in healing. We are the deliverers of the quantum epidural to forms of consciousness that mainstream science cannot feel. Bearing talent is not a gift to be utilized with total abandon, it is a duty and a service to the world.
